The second Eco-Friendly Garden Tour will be held May 17 – 18, 2008. Applications to have YOUR garden on tour are being accepted now through March 2008. The first day of the Tour will feature professional landscapers who are invited to showcase a garden design featuring eco-friendly* techniques. The second day will highlight native plant and habitat gardens designed and planted by home-owners. To register click here.

*Eco-friendly includes a wide range of techniques and practices designed to keep our creeks and the Bay healthy. These include, but are not limited to, such things as: creating permeable surfaces, utilizing mulch and compost, planting natives, conserving water, creating wildlife habitat, conserving energy, creating less waste, reducing air pollution, and maintaining gardens without toxic pesticides.
